AMMAN — The National Employment Program (NEP) has successfully assisted 22,529 individuals in securing employment through agreements signed with private sector establishments in Jordan, totaling 1,003.اضافة اعلان

Recent statistics obtained by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reveal that cash assistance provided by the National Aid Fund (NAF) benefited 754 women and 927 men.

Job placement
The industrial sector in Jordan witnessed the highest rate of job placements, followed by the education and tourism sectors. The mining industry also made significant contributions to employment, as indicated by the statistics.

Within the NEP, a total of 58,810 job seekers registered, with 28,574 being females and 30,236 males.

Subsidy
Under the program, individuals employed by private sector establishments are eligible to receive a monthly wage subsidy of JD130, provided that the employer offers them a one-year contract.

The NEP serves as a key priority within the government's economic action plans for 2021–2023. It aligns with the government's directive to empower Jordanian youth between the ages of 18 and 40.

Moreover, the program aims to stimulate the country's private sector to create job opportunities for unemployed Jordanians across all economic sectors in every governorate of the Kingdom.
