AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Friday condemned Israeli aggression at the Al-Aqsa Mosque after occupation forces once again clashed with Palestinians after Friday prayers. اضافة اعلان

The ministry said Israel’s provocative actions are unacceptable and hinder the past few days' efforts to reach a ceasefire and stop strikes on the Gaza Strip and aggression by occupation forces on Palestinians in the West Bank.

AFP reported that brief clashes broke out around Al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday, two weeks after similar scenes ignited the conflict in the Gaza Strip.

AFP reporters in occupied Jerusalem's Old City said clashes were ongoing. Police have fired rubber bullets and used stun grenades at the site, according to an AFP reporter.

However, a ceasefire to end the Israel-Hamas conflict appeared to be holding on Friday.
