During his visit to the Ma’an Military Hospital site, accompanied by Ma’an Governor Khaled Al-Hajjaj and Director of the Royal Medical Services, Brigadier General Dr. Sahil Al-Hamouri, the progress of the project was reviewed, where the completion rate has reached 82%.

The hospital is being constructed on an area of about 30,000 square meters, with a capacity of 150 beds distributed over four floors and two basement levels, at a total cost estimated at 35 million dinars.

Abu Al-Samen stressed the strategic importance of the hospital, which is being implemented as part of a Royal Initiative, pointing out that Ma’an Governorate is in urgent need of this integrated health facility, which will play a vital role in improving the level of medical services provided to citizens and to the armed forces personnel in the region.

The minister emphasized the need to adhere to the set timelines, noting that any delay in completion constitutes a delay in providing services. He directed the concerned entities in the ministry and the supervising consulting office to activate contractual measures to ensure the project is completed within the specified period.

In the same context, the minister inspected the project of the outpatient clinics and blood bank building at Ma’an Governmental Hospital, implemented by the ministry with a total area of 5,154 square meters. The project aims to support the health infrastructure in the governorate by providing comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services under one roof.

The building consists of two floors and includes general and specialized clinics covering cardiology, urology, ophthalmology, gynecology, pediatrics, dermatology, and audiology, in addition to medical laboratories, a regional blood bank, and rooms for general radiology, panoramic imaging, and ultrasound.

The project’s cost is estimated at 3.5 million dinars, with a current completion rate of about 77%.
