Minister of Local Administration: 8,000 Daily Wage Workers, Half Not in Their Actual Jobs

Minister of Local Administration Waleed Al-Masri revealed that the number of non-permanent daily wage workers in municipalities and joint service councils totals 8,000.اضافة اعلان

Responding to a parliamentary question on Monday, Al-Masri said that this is a large number, and a significant portion of these workers are performing administrative tasks not specified in their appointment letters.

He added that only 4,200 workers are performing their actual assigned duties, and their names have been submitted to the Civil Service Bureau for permanent employment consideration.

Al-Masri indicated that by the end of the year, a study will be ready outlining a timeline for formalizing the employment of these workers.
