Medical Milestone Achieved at Zarqa Governmental Hospital

A distinguished medical team at Zarqa Governmental Hospital successfully performed a rare and delicate surgical procedure—an elbow joint replacement for a patient suffering from multiple unstable fractures—despite limited available resources. The procedure was led by Dr. Louay Ali Khasawneh, Consultant of Orthopedic and Joint Surgery and Upper Limb Surgery, with the assistance of orthopedic resident Dr. Hussein Sabih.

This operation represents a true medical achievement and a qualitative leap for Zarqa Governmental Hospital, opening new avenues for treating such complex cases locally.

Special thanks were extended to the anesthesia team, represented by Dr. Omar Al-Amoosh, and the nursing staff, including nurses Yazan and Baha, for their tremendous efforts and high professionalism that contributed to the success of the surgery.
