The Ministry of Agriculture has launched an electronic tagging platform for sheep across all governorates of the Kingdom.
In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry confirmed that it has completed all necessary preparations to start electronic sheep tagging operations through 47 tagging centers distributed across various regions, following a pilot campaign covering all centers in the governorates.

The tagging process targets new livestock owners as well as those whose holdings have not been previously electronically tagged, as part of the Ministry’s efforts to organize the livestock sector and improve the accuracy of related data.
The Ministry urged livestock breeders to register via the Ministry’s online platform to complete the tagging procedures and to visit local Directorates of Agriculture for instructions and details on the electronic tagging process.
