Acting Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez received Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi yesterday afternoon (Venezuelan time), during which Safadi conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II, highlighting the king’s keenness to develop bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Acting President returned greetings to King Abdullah II, affirming Venezuela’s interest in strengthening bilateral relations across various fields.
During the meeting, opportunities to enhance cooperation in multiple economic sectors were discussed, along with a range of regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Upon arrival in Venezuela, Safadi also met with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil and held extensive talks on ways to boost cooperation in key sectors, including energy, oil and gas, tourism, culture, trade, and investment, benefiting both friendly nations.
The two ministers additionally reviewed regional and international matters of shared interest, stressing the importance of pooling efforts to uphold regional and international security and stability.
Safadi and Gil agreed to establish a clear roadmap identifying available and promising economic sectors and mechanisms for cooperation, alongside accelerating the signing of bilateral agreements necessary to develop relations across various areas.
They also agreed to sign a memorandum on political consultations between the two countries, paving the way for regular meetings to strengthen friendship and cooperation between Jordan and Venezuela.
Previously, the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding on tourism cooperation and an agreement exempting holders of diplomatic passports from entry visas.
