Secretary General of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Sahar Al-Shakhatera, said that the ministry has completed all preparations in schools to receive students for the second semester. These preparations include providing textbooks from the first day of the semester and ensuring heating in classrooms amid the cold weather conditions affecting most regions of the Kingdom.

In statements to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), she confirmed that approximately 1.5 million students will resume their studies tomorrow, Sunday, in 4,081 schools, distributed across public schools and those affiliated with the Culture and Military Education Directorate.

She explained that the ministry continues to implement its decision to adjust school starting times in line with the decision to maintain daylight saving time. Accordingly, the morning assembly in schools will be held at 8:15 a.m., with the first class beginning at 8:30 a.m. For the afternoon shift, the assembly will be at 12:50 p.m., and the first class will start at 1:00 p.m. This schedule will remain in effect until the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. — (Petra)
