Jordan's exports to Arab Free Trade Area countries grow by 15.6%
Amman – The Arab Free Trade Area countries have accounted for the largest share of total national exports among Jordan's trading partners and economic blocs by the end of November 2024. اضافة اعلان

The value of exports to these countries reached 3.257 billion dinars, compared to 2.818 billion dinars during the same period in 2023.

According to official statistical figures tracked by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), the value of Jordan's exports to the Greater Arab Free Trade Area countries during the same period increased by 15.6%.

In the same context, Jordan's imports from the Greater Arab Free Trade Area countries also rose by 8.5%, totaling 4.694 billion dinars, compared to 4.326 billion dinars during the same period in 2023.

Based on these data, the trade deficit between Jordan and the Greater Arab Free Trade Area countries decreased to 1.437 billion dinars by the end of November, compared to 1.508 billion dinars during the same period in 2023.

The total trade exchange between Jordan and the Arab Free Trade Area
countries for the same period reached 7.951 billion dinars, compared to 7.144 billion dinars during the same period in 2023.

According to the statistical data, Saudi Arabia topped the list of Jordan's exports to the Arab Free Trade Area countries during the same period, reaching approximately 1.0736 billion dinars, compared to 911 million dinars during the same period in 2023, reflecting an increase of 13.7%.

At the same time, Saudi Arabia was the leading country from which Jordan imported goods, with imports from Saudi Arabia totaling 2.699 billion dinars. As a result, Jordan's trade deficit with Saudi Arabia reached approximately 1.663 billion dinars by the end of November 2024.

Jordan’s exports to the Arab Free Trade Area countries include fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, agricultural products such as fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, salts, skincare products, food preparations, furniture, textiles, clothing, and paints.

Meanwhile, Jordan's imports from the Arab Free Trade Area countries include crude oil and its derivatives, jewelry, food products, plastic sheets and plates, titanium oxide, polyethylene, polystyrene, iron and its products, among others.

The Greater Arab Free Trade Area is an economic alliance between Arab countries aimed at economic integration and low-tariff trade. The agreement came into effect in January 2005, with 18 Arab countries as members.
