Jordan records 743 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Sunday reached 16, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 743 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Sunday, bringing the death toll to 9,092 and the caseload to 719,976.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Sunday’s tally, the ministry said:

192 in Amman
90 in Irbid
118 in Zarqa
54 in Mafraq
14 in Maan
42 in Balqa
29 in Jerash
20 in Madaba
49 in Tafilah
35 in Aqaba
27 in Ajloun
73 in Karak

The ministry added in a statement that some 2,386 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 92 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 7,307, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 4.96 percent of the 14,968 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
