Jordan records 522 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded today reached 13, according to the Ministry of Health, while a total of 500 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Thursday, bringing the death toll to 9,635 and the caseload to 745,366.اضافة اعلان


Breaking down Thursday's tally, the ministry said:

242 in Amman
94 in Zarqa
87 in Irbid
11 in Mafraq
18 in Balqa
7 in Karak
9 in Ajloun
16 in Aqaba
5 in Tafileh
17 in Jerash
4 in Madaba
12 in Maan

The ministry added in a statement that some 62 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 63 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 6,845, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 2.4 percent of the 21,212 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
