Jordan records 636 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Friday reached 14, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 636 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Friday, bringing the death toll to 9,342 and the caseload to 729,185.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Friday’s tally, the ministry said:

280 in Amman
121 in Irbid
91 in Zarqa
29 in Mafraq
31 in Balqa
23 in Maan
10 in Karak
15 in Ajloun
13 in Jerash
14 in Madaba
6 in Aqaba
3 in Tafileh

The ministry added in a statement that some 66 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 66 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 10,553, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 3.16 percent of the 10,126 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
