Jordan records 4,324 new COVID-19 cases, 16 deaths

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 4,324 new COVID-19 cases and 16 new deaths on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 11,377 and the total number of cases to 919,173.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1781 cases, while Zarqa recorded 466 cases. Irbid registered 916 cases, Balqa 314 cases, Karak recorded 146 cases, Jerash recorded 150 cases, and Tafileh recorded 29 cases. Madaba registered 167 cases, Aqaba 76, Ramtha 4, and Ajloun 103.

The ministry said in a statement that 99 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 153 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 40,807 according to the ministry. Out of 46,672 COVID-19 tests conducted Monday 9.26 percent of them came back positive.
