Jordan records 3,509 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Monday reached 62, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 3,509 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Monday, bringing the death toll to 8,308 and the caseload to 689,482.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Monday’s tally, the ministry said:

1,487 cases were recorded in Amman
579 in Irbid
342 in Zarqa
175 in Balqa
217 in Mafraq
91 in Jerash
148 in Karak
99 in Ajloun
107 in Madaba
98 in Aqaba
81 in Ma'an
85 in Tafilah

The ministry added in a statement that some 6,005 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 227 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 36,688, according to the ministry’s statement.

644,486 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.

Around 14.04 percent of the 24,956 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
