Jordan records 3,209 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Wednesday reached 57, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 3,209 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 8,429 and the caseload to 695,390.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Wednesday’s tally, the ministry said:

1,104 cases were recorded in Amman
680 in Irbid
430 in Zarqa
97 in Balqa
230 in Mafraq
62 in Jerash
157 in Karak
97 in Ajloun
62 in Madaba
119 in Aqaba
46 in Ma'an
125 in Tafilah

The ministry added in a statement that some 4,775 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 220 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 32,468, according to the ministry’s statement.

654,493 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.

Around 13.03 percent of the 24,628 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
