Jordan records 15 deaths, 1,012 new cases Thursday

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Thursday reached 15, while a total of 1,012 new cases were recorded in Jordan, bringing the death toll to 10,173 and the caseload to 780,542.اضافة اعلان


Breaking down Thursday's tally, the Ministry of Health stated that Amman recorded 530 cases, while Zarqa recorded 107 cases.

Irbid registered 102 cases, while Balqa recorded 50 cases.

Karak recorded 28, Jerash recorded 29 cases, and Tafileh recorded 31.

Madaba registered 30 cases, Aqaba 17, and Ajloun 22.

Mafraq registered 33 new cases.

Ramtha recorded 2 cases and Petra recorded 11.

The ministry added in a statement that some 71 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 100 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 11,152, according to the Ministry of Health.

Around 4.67 percent of the 21,676 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
