More than 1,000 COVID-19 cases recorded in Jordan Sunday

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Sunday reached 15, while a total of 1,061 new cases were recorded in Jordan, bringing the death toll to 9,929 and the caseload to 764,983.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Sunday's tally, the ministry stated that Amman recorded 594 cases, while Zarqa recorded 107 cases.

Irbid registered 83 cases, while Karak recorded 5 cases.

Balqa recorded 63 cases, while Aqaba recoded 17 and Mafraq recorded 20 cases.

Ajloun registered 30 cases, Tafileh 51, and Jerash 47.

Madaba registered 25 new cases, while Ramtha recorded 1 case on Sunday.

Maan recorded 4 cases and Petra recorded 0.

The ministry added in a statement that some 53 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 61 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 746,960, according to the Ministry of Health.

Around 4.44 percent of the 23,888 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
