Jordan records 13 new COVID-19 deaths

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,480 new COVID-19 cases and 13 new deaths on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 13,798 and the total number of cases to 1,617,178.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 752 cases, while Zarqa recorded 525 cases. Irbid registered 374 cases, Balqa 110 cases, Karak recorded 194 cases, Jerash recorded 46 cases, and Tafileh recorded 115 cases. Madaba registered 83 cases, Aqaba 74, Ramtha 73, and Ajloun 37.

The ministry said in a statement that 85 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 87 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 105,748 according to the ministry. Out of 23,346 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday, 10.62 percent of them came back positive.
