The convoys were primarily loaded with food supplies, especially flour, as Jordan prepares to send additional aid convoys once it receives guarantees ensuring the delivery and proper distribution of the materials to those in need.

A total of 147 trucks have been sent through the three previous convoys, organized in coordination with the World Food Programme (WFP) – 111 trucks – and World Central Kitchen (WCK) – 36 trucks. The most recent convoy, sent on Tuesday, successfully entered Gaza following coordination with all relevant parties.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the JHCO announced that it had successfully delivered a fourth convoy of 36 aid trucks through the Zikim border crossing, with the support and logistical facilitation of World Central Kitchen, which committed to ensuring the aid’s entry and distribution inside Gaza.

International organizations have faced numerous challenges in delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza, particularly at the northwestern border crossings, where efforts have been disrupted by gunfire targeting aid recipients and other security risks.

The aid convoys have also been hindered by widespread insecurity in the region, with incidents of looting and attacks by groups attempting to block or seize aid shipments, further complicating relief efforts.
