During her visit, part of ongoing field inspections of the ministry’s centers, care homes, and units, Bani Mustafa met with residents and listened to their feedback regarding the services offered.
She emphasized the importance of providing the best possible care and attention to residents, ensuring their needs are met continuously, with special focus on psychological, social, and health support within the facilities to uphold their rights and dignity.
The minister noted that, in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, private elderly care homes are being linked to the ministry’s central monitoring system, similar to government-run facilities.
Bani Mustafa also inspected the facility’s departments and infrastructure, stressing the importance of continuous monitoring and adherence to all public safety procedures.
Al-Zahraa Private Elderly Care Home, established in 2002 in the Marj Al-Hamam area of the capital governorate, provides accommodation, healthcare, social and psychological support to residents, and attends to all their essential needs. The facility has a capacity of 53 residents, currently housing 43 elderly men and women.
