GAM workers ask for improved pensions

AMMAN — A group of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) employees asked Mayor Yousef Al-Shawarbeh to add bonuses and allowances they receive to their salaries, and as a contribution to social security, to help them get better pensions, an approach adopted by ministries and other official departments, according to Jo24.اضافة اعلان

The GAM employees said that a third of their salaries, sometimes even half, does not get to be calculated as part of the social security contribution, which affects their pension, and said that the decision on this matter rests with the mayor, who so far has failed to address their request.
