AMMAN — The Ministry of Water and Irrigation and the Water Authority have detected five violations involving a 300mm water transmission line in the Naour area, including three cases involving the illegal filling of water tankers and two cases involving the unlawful supply of water to farms and homes, the ministry said.

In a statement, the ministry said the first three violations involved the use of one-inch pipes to fill unauthorized water tankers, while the other two were used to illegally supply water to farms and residential properties.
The violations were removed and the transmission line was repaired, while evidence related to the cases was documented. Investigations are ongoing, with the necessary legal measures to be taken against those responsible, the ministry said.
The ministry and the Water Authority reaffirmed their continued efforts, in cooperation with relevant authorities, to tighten control over water sources and curb violations targeting them across the Kingdom.
The ministry said its inspection teams from the Internal Control Unit carried out the campaign in cooperation with Miyahuna and the Ministry of Interior, with support from the Public Security Directorate, represented by the Naour Southern Security Center and the Royal Department for Environment Protection.
