Findings of the power outage investigation to be announced next week

AMMAN — Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Al-Kharabsheh said that the findings of investigations that were carried out on the power outage during the snowstorm will be announced next week.اضافة اعلان

During a meeting of the Senate Energy Committee, Kharabsheh said that all those who were responsible for the power outage in January will be held accountable.

He noted that performance criteria and measures will be set for electricity companies in Jordan, whereby penalties will be imposed on service providers that may cause similar shortcomings.

The Prime Ministry had earlier tasked the minister to form an independent investigation committee, without delay, to investigate the details of the power outage. The committee shall conclude the investigation and submit its recommendation within three weeks at the latest.
