AMMAN — The Awqaf Ministry warned citizens of fake advertisements and links claiming that the ministry is providing cash assistance to support poor families to enable them to buy Udhiyah (ritual animal sacrifice), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.اضافة اعلان

"Posts on social media claiming that a decision has been issued by the Awqaf Ministry to disburse an amount of money to each poor family to enable them to buy an Udhiyah are untrue and have nothing to do with the Ministry," the ministry's spokesperson Ali Daqamsah said Monday in a statement.

He urged citizens not to interact with these rumors and not to post or promote them, stressing that the ministry will legally pursue anyone who promotes fake news or information using its name.
