Anti-Narcotics Department intercepts 1.5 kg of narcotics in postal parcel

AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics, and arrested the suspects involved, the PublicSecurity Directorate(PSD) said.اضافة اعلان

The Anti-Narcotics Department and Customs personnel in Aqaba Governorate, thwarted an attempt to smuggle 1.5 Kg of narcotic crystals after they suspected a postal parcel coming to the Kingdom, The PSD spokesperson said in a statement.

After seizing the postal parcel, the Anti-Narcotics’ Special Investigation Team followed up on the investigation and gathered information on the individuals who tried to bring this toxic substance into the Kingdom, the spokesperson said.

The team were able to identify three allegedly people involved in the case, all of whom were arrested and referred to the State Security Court's public prosecutor, the spokesperson concluded.
