Albanian President Bajram Begaj praised the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II in fostering stability and expressed appreciation for His Majesty’s efforts to achieve regional peace through the two-state solution. He also affirmed his country's commitment to deepening stability and prosperity both regionally and globally.

The two leaders held talks at Al-Husseiniya Palace on Sunday, focusing on expanding cooperation and elevating the friendly relations between Jordan and Albania.
Strengthening Bilateral Ties
During the talks, attended by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah and First Lady Armanda Begaj, His Majesty emphasized that this visit serves as an opportunity to further strengthen bilateral ties. He noted that the past year witnessed a productive exchange of visits and coordination, resulting in a round of the "Aqaba Meetings" held in partnership with Albania.
His Majesty also congratulated the Albanian people on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, noting that it serves as a reminder of the shared values between the two nations and their joint efforts to promote harmony and dialogue.
Regional Stability and Peace
Regarding regional developments, His Majesty expressed his appreciation for Albania's support of efforts to restore stability and achieve peace based on the two-state solution. Both leaders—in the presence of HRH Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, His Majesty’s Chief Adviser for Religious and Cultural Affairs and Personal Envoy—affirmed that dialogue and peaceful solutions are the only path to de-escalating regional tensions and resolving conflicts.
In this context, His Majesty stressed the necessity of respecting state sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, while safeguarding the resources of their peoples.
Economic and Security Cooperation
President Begaj stated that his visit to the Kingdom would enhance partnership in investment, security, tourism, and development, pointing to the significant potential for joint economic action. He noted that his visit included several religious and tourist sites, underscoring the need to encourage people-to-people exchange by establishing a direct flight route between the two countries.
Addressing Regional Crises
The discussions also covered the general situation in the region. His Majesty stressed the need to intensify international efforts to halt illegal measures aimed at entrenching settlement expansion and imposing Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank. He further warned of the dangers posed by continued violations against Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
His Majesty reiterated the necessity of full commitment to implementing the agreement to end the war in Gaza and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to all areas of the Strip.
