The Minister of Interior praised the institutional approach adopted by the department and the significant efforts made by its personnel, emphasizing the pivotal role it plays in protecting families, safeguarding groups at risk, and ensuring their best interests. He highlighted the department’s high professionalism in handling family-related cases and finding appropriate solutions that preserve family cohesion and protect juveniles from delinquency.

Al-Faraya also noted the high level of coordination between the department and administrative governors in a manner that serves the best interests of victims and respects their privacy. He called for continued development of work mechanisms and for keeping pace with the best humanitarian, legal, and social practices.

For his part, the Public Security Director affirmed the continued support provided to the Family Protection Department to enable it to carry out its duties at the highest standards. He underscored the implementation of plans and strategies aimed at strengthening the family protection system, expanding the services offered, and enhancing the skills of personnel working in this field.

Major General Al-Ma’aytah also highlighted the importance of awareness programs carried out by the department in partnership with educational, religious, and community institutions. These programs, he said, promote behavior that rejects violence and reinforce the values of dialogue and respect within families and society. He stressed that the department’s mission is not limited to addressing cases but extends to preventing them before they occur.

During the visit, the Minister of Interior and the Public Security Director listened to a briefing presented by the head of the Family and Juvenile Protection Department, which included the main strategies and programs implemented, the mechanisms for receiving and handling reports, and the legal, social, and psychological procedures followed in addressing cases, in addition to statistics and indicators reflecting improved performance and a decline in certain negative trends.
