AMMAN — A member of the Board of
Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission (IEC), Jihad Momani,
announced on Saturday that there are about 5,000 observers for the local
elections scheduled on Tuesday.
Momani indicated the participation of about 5,000 local
and international observers, including more than 100 international observers.
“There are no loopholes in the electoral process,” he said,
adding that 777 electoral violations have been registered so far and that all
the violations were corrected and that no case was referred to the Public
Prosecutor.
