12 new deaths and 1,316 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,316 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, and 12 new deaths, bringing the total death toll to 10,774 and the total caseload to 829,888.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 498 cases, while Zarqa recorded 123 cases. Irbid registered 305 cases, Balqa 80 cases, Karak recorded 38 cases, Jerash 27 cases, and Tafileh 12 new cases, while Madaba registered 49 new cases, Aqaba 79, and Ajloun 29.

The ministry said in a statement that 44 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals Wednesday, while 56 new cases were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 13,314 according to the ministry. From the 31,208 COVID-19 tests conducted Wednesday, 4.22 percent came back positive.
