AMMAN — Eleven faculty members from Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) were selected among the top 2 percent of the world’s most influential and cited researchers, Khaberni reported. It said the selection was reported in the updated database of researchers for quotation indicators prepared by Stanford University and the Global Publishing House for the year 2022. In a separate development, BAU and Mitsubishi Motors signed a memorandum of understanding, under which the Japanese automobile manufacturer will offer scholarships in hybrid and electric vehicles majors for BAU’s top mechanical engineering students, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.اضافة اعلان

BAU President Ahmad Al-Ajlouni said Sunday’s memorandum underscores the importance of technical education, lauding Mitsubishi’s support as well as a previous grant for the Faculty of Engineering Technology laboratories and the development of the hybrid and electric vehicles diploma curriculum.

The application period for the scholarships will be announced this month, he added.

The scholarships aim to financially aid top students and alleviate their financial concerns.
