INGREDIENTS
• 4 thin beef cutlets
• 1 cups breadcrumbs
• 0.5 cups flour
• 2 eggs
• 1 cups tomato sauce
• 4 thin slices beef or chicken mortadella (optional)
• 200 grams shredded mozzarella cheese
• 0.5 teaspoons salt
• 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
• 0.5 teaspoons paprika
• 1 vegetable oil, for frying
STEPS
1. Season the beef: Season the beef cutlets (4 thin beef cutlets) with salt (0.5 teaspoons salt), black pepper (0.5 teaspoons black pepper), and paprika (0.5 teaspoons paprika), then let them rest for a few minutes so the flavors soak in.

2. Set up the breading station: Place the flour (0.5 cups flour) in one dish, the beaten eggs (2 eggs) in a second dish, and the breadcrumbs (1 cups breadcrumbs) in a third dish.

3. Bread the cutlets: Dip each beef cutlet in the flour, then in the egg, then coat it well with breadcrumbs on both sides.

4. Fry the cutlets: Heat a suitable amount of oil in a pan over medium heat, then fry the cutlets until golden and crispy on both sides.

5. Drain: Remove the cutlets from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

6. Assemble: Arrange the cutlets on an oven tray, spread a layer of tomato sauce (1 cups tomato sauce) over each one, then add the mortadella slices (4 thin slices beef or chicken mortadella (optional)) if using.

7. Top with cheese and bake: Cover the top with the shredded mozzarella (200 grams shredded mozzarella cheese), then bake in an oven preheated to 200°C (390°F) until the cheese melts and the surface turns golden.

8. Serve: Serve the milanesa napolitana hot, alongside french fries or salad.
