Housing Bank Organizes Health Awareness Day for Employees in Cooperation with the Jordan Breast Cancer Program
Housing Bank organized a Health Awareness Day at its headquarters in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, observed every October. This initiative was held in cooperation with the Jordan Breast Cancer Program (JBCP) under the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF), coinciding with the 9th Arab Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.
The initiative aims to raise awareness among employees about the importance of early detection and prevention of breast cancer, highlight the available support systems for those affected by the disease, and promote a culture of public health and well-being in the workplace.
The event featured an interactive session led by a doctor from the King Hussein Cancer Center, alongside several breast cancer survivors who shared their inspiring journeys and encouraged colleagues to commit to regular screening.
As part of the event, Housing Bank also hosted KHCF’s “Hope Shop,” which offers a variety of gifts for different occasions, with proceeds dedicated to supporting underprivileged children and adults receiving treatment at the center. Additionally, a special booth displayed an assortment of food, sweets, and handmade crafts prepared by survivors, with proceeds allocated to support them. These activities encouraged employee engagement in supporting the foundation’s mission to combat cancer.
This initiative reflects one of the bank’s sustainable community outreach programs, reinforcing its long-term partnership with KHCF and its ongoing commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of all employees. The bank considers public health a cornerstone of sustainable development and an essential element in improving quality of life.
The event also underscores Housing Bank’s continued support for its female employees, recognizing their vital role in enhancing financial and operational performance, driving innovation, and contributing to community development.
