Al-Faisaly club announced on Saturday that its Ivorian professional Wilfried Izzat has suffered a cartilage and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in his knee, according to a statement published on the club's official pages.

Team physiotherapist Shadi Aassy said Izzat sustained a strong blow to the knee area during the team's match against Al-Wehdat, following a collision with a player from the opposing team, forcing him to leave the pitch.
Aassy explained that medical examinations the player underwent revealed damage to the cartilage and the ACL, requiring surgery.
He noted that the initial expected recovery period for such injuries can reach up to six months.
