AMMAN — The Jeep brand is celebrating 80 years of SUV leadership with the return of its American icon that combines off-road capability with a refined on-road driving experience: the Grand Cherokee L. اضافة اعلان

This latest version has been designed to combine a higher level of legendary four-wheel drive capability, superior on-road luxury, refined looks and craftsmanship inside and outside the vehicle, and a host of advanced technology and safety features.

The proportions of the all-new Grand Cherokee L are inspired by the original Wagoneer, Jeep’s first luxury SUV. The Grand Cherokee L’s aerodynamic side profile features a longer hood and cabin, giving the car more visual aft weight and adding a sense of movement and responsiveness.  The more forward-leaning grille enhances the length of the bonnet, accentuating the iconic Wagoneer design. The lowered roof improves aerodynamics and efficiency without compromising cargo compartment capacity and functionality.

For the first time, all Jeep Grand Cherokee models were fitted as standard with a full suite of high-end LED lighting, allowing for versatility in design and helping to establish the car’s identity. The bold front section is underlined by slim headlights as well as horizontal fog lamps that give the vehicle an instantly recognizable character.

At the rear, the lighting design is complemented by ultra-thin taillights.  Additional elements include door handles that light up when you’re near the car and floor-standing illumination from side-view mirror lamps.
In terms of the interior design of the Jeep Grand Cherokee L, it incorporates handcrafted, detailed materials and modern features that blend seamlessly with the new, attractive exterior.

The midsection has been reconfigured and is now easier for the driver to reach. A bright bezel surrounds the next-generation 10.1-inch display dedicated to Uconnect 5. Also new on the car is a frameless digital instrument cluster with more than 20 different menus for the driver to choose from, including driver assistance technologies. To control this digital package, the Grand Cherokee L incorporates an all-new multifunction steering wheel with two paddle shifters.

The seat design in the Grand Cherokee L includes a length-adjustable cushion in the front seats. Sixteen-way electrically adjustable front seats with memory and back support are standard on Summit Reserve, which also includes a back massager in the seats with five adjustable settings and three levels of pressure.

Jeep is the only automaker to feature a Macintosh audio system, introduced for the first time in the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. This system is available as standard on Summit Reserve. This advanced high-performance system features a 17-channel amplifier with a maximum power of 950W and 19 speakers, including a 10-inch low-end woofer.

The vehicle is equipped with third-row seating with unmatched capacity and increased luggage volume. The wheelbase (3,091mm) ensures ample interior space and gives occupants class-leading legroom in the second row of seats.
To improve access, the Grand Cherokee L has wider door openings in the second row compared to previous generations that open at a 64-degree angle with exterior side sills for entry or exit.

The Grand Cherokee L has a wider rear loading volume of 1,328 liters behind the second row. The third-row seats are also split fifty-fifty and can be folded easily from the rear of the car. For more purposeful functionality, both the second and third row seats can be folded forward, turning the rear area into a flat terrain for loading, with a maximum capacity of 2,396 liters.

The Grand Cherokee L is the first Stellantis Group vehicle to feature an electronic remote unlock in the rear loading area that quickly and easily folds the second-row seats flat. This equipment is standard on the Summit Reserve version.

Buyers can choose between two powerful, fuel-efficient engines with proven performance in all driving conditions.

The standard engine is the powerful and refined 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine that produces 293 horsepower and 353 Nm of torque. The 60-degree angle between the two cylinders of this engine provides smooth operation that is made even smoother thanks to the accessories mounted directly on the engine block.  The Pentastar engine is fitted as standard with Engine Start & Stop (ESS) technology to save fuel.

Those who are looking for more power can opt for the award-winning 5.7-liter V8 engine that delivers 357 horsepower and produces 529 Nm of torque over a wide revving range. This engine delivers high performance and efficiency with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and fuel-saving technology (cylinder deactivation) that shuts off valves on four of the engine’s eight cylinders during light-duty operation. The system restarts all cylinders immediately when the driver depresses the accelerator pedal. Depending on the driving scenario, cylinder deactivation can achieve 5 to 20 percent fuel economy savings.

The SUV also features unmatched four-wheel drive capability and balanced on-road driving dynamics. The all-wheel drive capability starts with three four-wheel drive systems — Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II — with an electronic limited-slip differential for the rear axle. The three systems are equipped with an active transmission to improve traction by transferring torque to the rear axle. The Grand Cherokee L’s class-leading Selec-Terrain traction control system allows the driver to choose on- and off-road settings to get the best possible performance from the all-wheel drive through five different modes — Sport, Auto, Rock, Snow Track, and Mud/Sand.

Additionally, Jeep has introduced in this model, for the first time in the history of the Grand Cherokee, the Quadra-Lift air suspension system that incorporates electronic flexible damping.

The all-new Cherokee offers more than 110 safety and security features that improve the driver’s field of view, facilitate the visibility of instruments and controls, and provide driver assistance capabilities to avoid collisions.

The infotainment system, Uconnect 5, provides additional connected services. This group of systems includes: an 8.4- or 10.1-inch digital touch screen and five user profiles (plus valet mode) with the ability to adjust music and apps preferences, seat position, mirror angles, and air conditioning levels.

Practical features for front seat passengers have been developed with a wireless charging pad and two standard USB Type-C ports that allow devices to be charged four times faster. The Jeep Grand Cherokee L features a total of 12 USB Type-A and C ports for all rows of seats, the highest number in its segment.

Jeep Grand Cherokee L is the first wide-frame Jeep to offer a fully digital rearview mirror. This mirror displays real-time video from the rear camera, providing a view unobstructed by the rear pillars or the rear seats.

It is also the first Jeep model to offer a colored head-up display (HUD). This screen can be adjusted up to 10 inches and has three preset settings as well as a custom adjustment mode with four adjustable designs. This screen displays basic information about the vehicle, including the current speed, the maximum permissible speed, the navigation system, and the driver assistance systems. The settings for this display can be modified as desired and saved within driver profiles.

The car also features for the first time a 10.25-inch wheelless digital instrument cluster as standard, with approximately 24 different menus to choose from. The full-color instrument cluster includes five adjustable panels for at-a-glance data acquisition or for quick and easy access to the most frequently used information. Drivers can choose between a digital or analog instrument cluster.

As part of complete Grand Cherokee L customization, all settings can be saved to user profiles and automatically recalled for each driver. The graphics are displayed on the screen in real time.

This vehicle remains the best-selling SUV among the model range. The American icon was recreated to deliver legendary Jeep 4x4 off-road capabilities with superior on-road behavior and more advanced technology and safety features.
