The Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply had earlier stated that the government will provide support to companies participating for the first time in international exhibitions.

In a statement Saturday, Al-Khudari said that King Abdullah II’s recent visits to Singapore, Japan, Vietnam, Pakistan, and Indonesia represented a key economic milestone, reflecting His Majesty’s strong commitment to supporting the industrial sector and enhancing the presence of Jordanian products in promising international markets.

He praised the significant efforts made by the King to strengthen Jordan’s economic standing, stressing that the continuous royal initiatives and the King’s dedication to opening new horizons for national exports serve as a fundamental pillar for empowering the industrial sector and boosting its competitiveness.

Al-Khudari added that these efforts reflect a clear royal vision based on expanding the country’s circle of trade partners and creating real economic opportunities for Jordanian exporters and investors.

He noted that the Exporters Association immediately began coordinating participation in trade exhibitions in the countries visited by the King, aiming to learn about market needs, available products, and introduce Jordanian industries to importers in those countries.

Entering new markets, he emphasized, requires additional effort—particularly in terms of language requirements and product labels—which places financial burdens on industrial companies.

He explained that these challenges were raised during a Senate meeting with the economic team, during which Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Yousef Qudah, confirmed that the government will support companies participating for the first time in international exhibitions, helping them enter these markets more effectively.

Al-Khudari added that the success of Jordanian exports in entering these countries will contribute to boosting the growth of the industrial sector and increasing its share in foreign markets, aligning with the King’s directives to expand the export basket and enhance competitiveness.

He highlighted that national exports have grown by 8% since the beginning of the year, while re-exports have increased by 5%.

He also emphasized the importance of governmental efforts to sign new preferential customs agreements with countries such as Rwanda and Uzbekistan, which would expand the base of Jordanian exports and open new promising opportunities.

Al-Khudari reaffirmed the Exporters Association’s readiness to continue working with all public and private sector partners to maximize the benefits of the King’s tour and increase the global presence of Jordanian products.

He noted that the Economic Modernization Vision represents a comprehensive national framework directly supporting the industrial sector by focusing on increasing production capacity, expanding export markets, and improving the business environment.

He added that the vision positions exports as a key driver of growth and provides programs that enhance the industry’s ability to enter new markets and increase the added value of Jordanian products.
