Engineer Abeer Al-Zuheir, Director-General of JSMO, stated that granting these certifications to national products enhances consumer confidence, boosts competitiveness in local and international markets, and supports national efforts toward achieving the goals of Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision.
During the certificate handover ceremony, Al-Zuheir described the awards as recognition for companies committed to meeting certification requirements and praised the role of both public and private sectors in supporting quality standards and the national economy.
She noted that JSMO certifications open new opportunities for Jordanian products in regional and global markets, facilitating trade and the smooth flow of goods, which positively impacts the national economy. Al-Zuheir also highlighted that Halal certification is among the most globally sought-after certifications due to the high consumer trust it provides.
The organization recently received international recognition for its Halal certification, reinforcing Jordan’s position as a trusted source for Halal products. JSMO is also preparing to introduce the Eco Label, a globally recognized certification aimed at easing the entry of Jordanian products into international markets.
Al-Zuheir emphasized JSMO’s commitment to continuous collaboration with local companies and factories to identify certification needs and specifications required to access new markets, urging the industrial sector to maintain ongoing communication for joint development efforts that strengthen the national economy and competitiveness.
Company representatives receiving the certificates praised the professionalism and expertise of JSMO’s auditing teams and acknowledged the organization’s pivotal role in supporting the national economy through quality infrastructure activities, including standard preparation, inspection, metrology, testing, accreditation, and conformity certification.
