U.S.–Ukrainian Talks on Saturday to Discuss Plan to End the War

The U.S. State Department announced that American and Ukrainian officials will continue discussions on Saturday regarding a plan to end the war in Ukraine. This follows the second day of meetings in Florida, attended by U.S. Special Envoy Steve Vitekhov and Ukraine’s chief negotiator Rustem Umerov.اضافة اعلان

The State Department said in a statement, “Both sides agreed that real progress toward any agreement depends on Russia’s willingness to demonstrate a serious commitment to long-term peace, including steps toward de-escalation and an end to the killing.”

The statement added that both parties “also agreed on a framework for security arrangements and discussed the deterrence capabilities needed to maintain lasting peace.”
