"The staff of the German Embassy in Baghdad have been temporarily relocated from Iraq due to the threat level," the spokesperson said late Monday, adding that the safety of the personnel is subject to continuous assessment.

The spokesperson further noted that the embassy remains reachable, although its legal and consular services have been highly restricted for some time due to the security situation.

In Nicosia, Cyprus, Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said yesterday that he discussed the regional situation with his U.S. counterpart, Marco Rubio.

Both ministers condemned what Wadephul described as Iran's "indiscriminate attacks" on countries in the region, urging Tehran to cease these actions.
