UNRWA: Malnutrition on the Rise in Gaza Amid Severe Shortage of Medical Supplies
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) confirmed that its teams continue to provide humanitarian services in the Gaza Strip despite immense challenges and a severe shortage of essential medical supplies.اضافة اعلان

In a statement published on its official website on Sunday, UNRWA reported a "notable increase in cases of malnutrition" in its clinics across the Gaza Strip, particularly among children and the most vulnerable populations, since the tightening of the Israeli blockade in March.

The agency warned that ongoing restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid, including food and medicine, are worsening both health and living conditions for Gaza’s residents. It called on the international community to "urgently act to ensure the delivery of vital supplies and to end the worsening humanitarian suffering."

UNRWA cautioned that the continuation of this crisis could lead to an imminent humanitarian catastrophe, given the near-total collapse of the healthcare system and rising levels of poverty and malnutrition—especially among children and women.
