The Syrian Internal Security Forces, in cooperation with the General Intelligence Service, successfully dismantled a terrorist cell in Homs Governorate, thwarting a sabotage plot aimed at undermining security and stability in the region.

According to a statement released by the Syrian Ministry of Interior on Monday:
Intelligence-Led: The high-profile operation followed precise intelligence efforts.
The Raid: Specialized units carried out a tactical raid on the site where cell members were entrenched.
Outcome: The operation resulted in the "neutralization" of two cell members and the establishment of full control over the location.
Seized Weaponry
Security forces seized an arsenal of weapons intended for criminal activities, including:
Anti-armor missile launchers and missiles.
Sniper rifles and automatic rifles.
RPG launchers with charges.
Quantities of ammunition, grenades, and other tactical equipment.
Broader Security Context
The Ministry emphasized that this operation is part of its ongoing efforts to strike sleeper cell hideouts and drain the sources of terrorism, asserting its full readiness to counter any threats.
This follows a similar announcement on the 19th of this month, where the Internal Security Command in Quneitra Governorate, also in coordination with General Intelligence, thwarted a sabotage plot intended to destabilize that region.
