In a joint statement, the two institutions explained that special field teams have been mobilized to ensure proper reception, as well as medical, psychological, and administrative follow-up for the released prisoners.
A few days ago, an expanded meeting was held in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate with the participation of the governor and representatives of civil and security institutions, during which all logistical and organizational arrangements were discussed to guarantee the best possible reception.
According to sources from the Commission and the Society, dozens of prisoners from the West Bank governorates are expected to be released next Saturday. They stressed that any updates regarding the lists or details of the release will be published officially as they become available.
The Commission and the Society urged families of the prisoners not to leave their governorates or gather in Ramallah and Al-Bireh until official confirmation is issued by the competent authorities and approved lists of names are published.
They also warned against the circulation of unofficial lists being spread on social media platforms and WhatsApp groups, emphasizing that such lists are inaccurate and have not been issued by any authorized entity, and that no official names have yet been confirmed or announced by the occupation authorities.
The statement concluded by urging citizens and families of the prisoners to verify information carefully and not fall prey to rumors, underscoring that any official updates will only be announced through the channels of the Commission and the Prisoners’ Society.
