Israel evacuates residents of settlements close to Gaza Strip

TEL AVIV — An Israeli army spokesman announced on Sunday that it had begun evacuating residents of Jewish settlements close to the besieged Gaza Strip.اضافة اعلان

“At this stage, the army began evacuating settlers who live two kilometers from the Gaza Strip, where most of the residents of the settlements of Nahal Oz, Kfar Gaza, and Yad Mordechai were evacuated," he said.

He confirmed that violent clashes were taking place at the Kfar Gaza military base with Palestinian militants.

According to Israeli army spokesman, the mission at the present time is to evacuate the residents of these settlements. 

The Hebrew Channel 12 said on Sunday that the Israeli army is still clashing with what he called Palestinian militants in seven locations close to the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli death toll from the attacks carried out by Hamas fighters rose to 350 dead and more than 1800 wounded, including 280 in critical condition, according to the Hebrew Channel 12.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that 256 Palestinians were killed, and 1788 others were injured as a result of the Israeli raids on the Strip since Saturday morning.
