Houthis: Ceasefire Agreement with U.S. Does Not Include Israel
The Houthi movement announced Wednesday that its ceasefire agreement with the United States does not exempt Israel from military operations, indicating that their Red Sea attacks disrupting global trade may not fully stop.اضافة اعلان

Houthi chief negotiator Mohammed Abdulsalam told Reuters, "The agreement does not involve Israel in any way." He clarified, "The deal was with the American side through Omani mediation. The halt targets only U.S. ships—if they cease their actions, our response will also stop."

This statement follows former U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement Tuesday that he had ordered an end to airstrikes against Yemen, claiming the Houthis had "surrendered" and promised to stop targeting ships.

Trump said, "The Houthis said they no longer want to fight, and that’s good news. I took their word and decided to halt our bombing immediately."

CNN reported that the U.S. military received instructions to pause strikes after indirect negotiations led by Trump envoy Stephen Witkoff and facilitated by Oman. Oman’s Foreign Ministry confirmed a deal ensuring neither side would attack the other—including American ships—preserving maritime safety.

Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department emphasized that the agreement pertains only to Houthi attacks on shipping in the Red Sea and not a broader peace deal.

The U.S. has conducted heavy airstrikes on Yemen since March 15, following months of Houthi drone and missile attacks on Israeli-linked and later American and British vessels, in solidarity with Gaza.
