EU Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Anwar Al-Anouni stated in a press interview that the Union rejects this move, which increases the area of land controlled by Israel to more than 60% of the Gaza Strip, rather than implementing the additional withdrawals stipulated in the peace agreement.
He emphasized that the European Union reaffirms the importance of unifying the Gaza Strip with the West Bank under the administration of the Palestinian Authority.
Key EU Demands:
Peace Plan: Calling for the urgent implementation of the Gaza peace plan.
Humanitarian Crisis: Expressing deep sorrow over the continued catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Strip.
Aid Access: Calling on Israel to immediately allow the large-scale, unimpeded entry of humanitarian aid and to ensure its sustainable distribution.
Background on the "Orange Line"
The Israeli occupation army recently introduced the "Orange Line," which bypasses the "Yellow Line" established under the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, 2025.
