The Prosecutor General of Iran's West Azerbaijan Province announced on Sunday the arrest of 20 individuals in the city of Urmia on charges of affiliation with Israel and providing it with information regarding military sites within the country, according to the Tasnim News Agency.

The Prosecutor explained that security services managed to apprehend the suspects following surveillance and tracking operations, noting that they were working on collecting sensitive information and transmitting it to Israel.
A source familiar with Israel's military strategy told Reuters last week that Israel has begun a new phase of its offensive on Iran, targeting security checkpoints based on information provided by informants on the ground.
Since Saturday, February 28, Israel and the United States have been launching airstrikes on Iran, which led to the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Since then, Tehran has been responding by striking Israel and regional countries with missiles and drones.
