Around 120,000 Palestinians performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque, according to estimates from the Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem, while Israeli occupation authorities continued to prevent residents of the West Bank from reaching Jerusalem and praying at Al-Aqsa.
Local media reported that dozens of worshippers performed the Eid prayer outside the walls of Al-Aqsa Mosque after being prevented by Israeli police from entering the mosque.
The courtyards of Al-Aqsa did not witness any celebratory activities, as is customary every year, due to the ongoing genocide being carried out by Israel in the Gaza Strip and the escalating attacks in the West Bank. -(Al Jazeera)
