Late Tuesday night, several Iranian ballistic missiles struck Israeli territory, causing fires and damage to buildings, according to Hebrew media reports. Israeli air defenses reportedly failed to intercept some of the missiles, which were part of two successive barrages launched within an hour — totaling around 30 missiles.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility and confirmed that it used its “Fattah” hypersonic ballistic missiles for the first time, describing the strike as a message of defiance to former U.S. President Donald Trump, who it accused of inciting war.
Multiple Barrages and Widespread Alarm
At 00:35 local time (GMT+3), the Israeli military issued a statement:
“Sirens were activated in several regions across the country following the detection of missile launches from Iran toward Israeli territory. The Air Force is currently conducting interceptions and offensive operations wherever threats are identified.”
According to Yedioth Ahronoth, air raid sirens sounded across Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem, marking the eighth Iranian missile barrage since early Tuesday. Loud explosions were also heard over Jerusalem, reportedly the result of successful interceptions.
Channel 12 News estimated that Iran launched at least 20 missiles in this specific barrage. The Israeli Army Radio acknowledged that some missiles did hit Israeli territory, although it did not disclose precise locations. Early reports from Israel Hayom indicated that at least two missiles landed in Jerusalem and the Sharon region near Tel Aviv.
Channel 12 also reported property damage in central Israel, missile debris striking buildings in the north, and wildfires igniting in open areas.
Tenth Missile Barrage: More Fires and Destruction
At 01:28, air raid sirens blared again in central Israel — including Tel Aviv, Ashdod, Rishon LeZion, and Netanya — in response to a ninth barrage from Iran consisting of at least 10 additional missiles.
Firefighters responded to a large blaze affecting 20 vehicles in central Israel, sparked by falling missile debris.
Israel continues to withhold specific details about targeted military or strategic sites, citing national security concerns and the desire not to aid enemy intelligence.
Iran's Hypersonic Message: The “Fattah” Missile
The IRGC stated that this latest attack was part of “Operation Honest Promise 3,” and that it marked the first operational use of the “Fattah” hypersonic ballistic missile, sending what it called a clear message of power to Tel Aviv’s ally — Donald Trump.
“The powerful and highly maneuverable Fattah missiles tonight shook the shelters of the Zionist cowards after piercing through their defensive shield,” the IRGC declared.
“Tonight’s missile strike proved that we have full control over the airspace of the occupied territories, and that its residents are defenseless against Iranian missiles.”
According to military website Army Technology, the Fattah missile is among the most advanced in Iran’s arsenal. It reportedly flies at speeds between Mach 13 and Mach 15, has a range of about 1,400 km, and features advanced guidance systems that allow it to alter course mid-flight and perform high-precision maneuvers inside and outside the atmosphere.
Escalating Conflict with High Casualties
Since early last Friday, Israel — with U.S. backing — has carried out strikes on Iran, targeting nuclear facilities, missile bases, and top military and nuclear personnel. These attacks have reportedly resulted in 224 deaths and 1,277 injuries in Iran.
In retaliation, Tehran has launched ballistic missiles and drone attacks, killing around 24 people and wounding hundreds in Israel.
Tensions are escalating rapidly, with Western and Israeli sources warning of possible U.S. military involvement. Meanwhile, Trump has called on Iran to surrender unconditionally and even threatened potential strikes on Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
The situation remains volatile, with the possibility of a regional war drawing closer as both sides intensify their military actions.
