The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed in a statement that Motaz Hamza Hussein Al-Hajajla, 21, was martyred after being shot by Israeli forces in the town of Al-Walaja.

The ministry added that Israeli troops also physically assaulted another citizen during a raid on his home, causing injuries.

In a related development, Israeli forces carried out a wide-scale arrest campaign, detaining 60 Palestinians across the West Bank, including a woman, several children, and former detainees.

In a joint statement, the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club said that the arrests and field interrogations occurred in multiple governorates. Israeli forces continued storming towns and villages, converting homes into military posts and makeshift interrogation centers.

The Israeli military has escalated arrest operations and field interrogations this week, with at least 160 detentions recorded across the West Bank since the beginning of the week, some of whom were later released.

The occupation continues to pursue policies of collective punishment and violence during these raids, including field executions, which remain a systematic and deliberate tactic to suppress resistance.

These arrest campaigns, accompanied by increasing aggression, are seen as part of a broader genocidal war and a long-standing Israeli strategy aimed at quelling growing resistance.
