“The Polar Visitor” Knocks on the Arab World’s Doors: A Wave of Frost, Snow, and Rain to Affect Several Arab Countries
The latest outputs of numerical weather models have revealed the advance of an extremely cold polar air mass.

The Middle East and North Africa are bracing for a harsh winter wave in the coming days, as the latest model forecasts indicate the intrusion of a severely cold polar air mass. This will lead to unstable weather conditions accompanied by heavy rainfall and snowfall over high elevations in several Arab countries.اضافة اعلان

North Africa… The Beginning “Today”

The impact of the weather system has already begun to affect the Maghreb countries, according to the following sequence:

Monday (today): Rain of varying intensity is falling over parts of Morocco and Algeria.

Tuesday (tomorrow): Weather activity intensifies, with rainfall turning into heavy snowfall over high mountainous elevations in Algeria.

Tunisia and Libya: Starting Tuesday night, the rain belt will extend to include Tunisia, then later move toward parts of the Libyan coast, accompanied by a sharp and noticeable drop in temperatures.

The Levant and Iraq… “Weekend Low-Pressure System”

In the Asian wing of the system, the cold air mass is expected to arrive toward the end of the week, specifically starting Friday:

Weather conditions: The region will be affected by a new low-pressure system, bringing a significant drop in temperatures and increased wind activity.

Rainfall: Moderate to heavy rain is expected, accompanied by hail showers, across Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, and Iraq.

Snowfall: Conditions will be favorable for snowfall over high mountainous areas in Syria and Lebanon.

The Arabian Gulf… Limited Rainfall

In contrast, weather conditions across the Gulf states will remain generally stable, with a few limited exceptions:

Saudi Arabia: The northeastern parts, including Al-Jawf and the Northern Borders regions, may be affected by the fringes of the cold air mass toward the end of the week, potentially leading to rainfall, along with limited chances over western parts of the Kingdom.

UAE and Oman: Slight chances of light, scattered rainfall over isolated areas.
