Temperatures will drop slightly on Tuesday, bringing mild weather to most parts of Jordan, according to a forecast issued by the Meteorological Department and carried by the state news agency Petra. On Wednesday, temperatures will rise slightly, making weather relatively hot across most of the country and hot in the desert, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Winds will be northwesterly and moderate in speed.

Thursday will see another slight dip in temperatures. Most areas will be mild, the desert relatively hot, and the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba hot. Northwesterly winds will be moderate, with occasional bursts of stronger activity.

Friday's conditions will largely mirror Thursday's, with mild weather in most areas, relatively hot conditions in the desert, and heat continuing in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba. Low-altitude cloud cover is expected in the north and centre of the Kingdom. Winds will shift westerly, moderate overall but active at times, with the potential to raise dust in desert areas.

The department's temperature readings for Tuesday place East Amman's high and low at 34 and 22 degrees Celsius, West Amman at 32 and 20, the northern highlands at 31 and 18, the Shara highlands at 30 and 16, desert areas at 37 and 19, plains areas at 34 and 17, the northern Jordan Valley at 40 and 25, the southern Jordan Valley at 41 and 27, the Dead Sea at 40 and 27, and the Gulf of Aqaba at 40 and 28 degrees Celsius.
